Death overs create wicket chances, but they also carry economy risk. Before using a bowler as captain or vice-captain, check whether that player is actually expected to bowl at the end.

If the role is uncertain, keep the player as a normal pick or move the multiplier to a more stable all-rounder, opener, or wicketkeeper.
